Join the Consortium

Consortium members enjoy a special connection with GIX that fosters long-term relationships, leading to technical exchange, co-invention, and collaboration with faculty and students. For those Consortium Members who join at the project level, members and students will agree at the outset on the ownership of any intellectual property that may be created during the project.

Benefits

Membership includes access to GIX students and faculty, as well as the Academic Network and other Consortium Members, in addition to the specific benefits offered at each level. Members will also be invited to exclusive events and project demonstrations, and will be recognized in GIX marketing materials.

Project Criteria

In membership level cases where projects are included, projects must meet the GIX learning objectives and include a balance of research, application, hardware, software, and design. Consortium Members must dedicate at least one hour per week to student interaction. Preference will be given to projects that strive to address an unmet social need.
