Students create Apple Watch app to remind wearers to avoid touching their faces
Students at GIX have created an Apple Watch app called Facespace designed to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by helping wearers avoid touching vital transmission spaces on the face. Facespace uses accelerometer and gyroscope data to recognize when a user is moving their hand upwards and alerts the user to remind them not to touch their face.
Blending technology and biology to make life safer, easier to understand
GIX students use biofeedback technology to develop a wearable device that mitigates miscommunication between different languages and cultures.
Women's Safety XPRIZE Team Project
GIX students, called Team Saffron, created a wearable sensor device that sends wireless alerts in threatening situations.
